I recently was able to work with Fill in the Blankie! This is a super great gift idea! Perfect for a new baby, a dedication ceremony, baby shower gifts, and infant and toddler birthday presents. They are soooooo...soft! I did mine to either hang on my wall, or display in the house. I highly recommend this Blankie! You are able to have up to 200 characters embroidered, 50 on each edge of the Blankie. So, I put, "Lyman Family Babies" along the top, and then listed 2 children with their birth dates on each side. Mine is chocolate color Blankie with a cream trim, with blue writing. Fill in the Blankie is way more than a monogrammed baby blanket. It is a memory also!

Fill in the Blankie has 39 blanket styles/colors, 27 fonts and 18 thread colors. You can create a truly one of a kind personalized blanket. Normal production time is 5-8 days, but you can pay extra for a rush. Undecided on how to design the Blankie? Give a gift certificate! And they have blankets to fit every budget. Fill in the Blankie is really easy to design. First you choose your blanket. Then fill in what you would like on each side. You then choose the font you want! You then get to choose your thread color, and they even have a Glow in the Dark thread option! The Glow in the Dark thread is an extra $18. If you like you can add an illustration to the edge ($9). The hand sewn gift bag is adorable! I really like mine. It is tied with a big ribbon. I also included an optional Pig in a Blankie ($24). He arrived with his head sticking out of the gift bag. Also a gift card was attached with a diaper pin. You can design ULTRA personalized baby blankets.

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child. Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First TV. Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age. And it works! Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life. Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words. Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing. There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along. The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish. Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was.
