Jiffy Lube $35 GC Review and Giveaway!

 Gift Guide Post #37

Good day neighbors!

Looking for a gift for that man in your life?  Or perhaps a son or son in law?  A Jiffy Lube Gift Card would be perfect!  It would also make a grand gift for that college student!  Actually, I guess just about anyone who drives and owns a car could use a Jiffy Lube GC.  With the holidays upon us many of us have travel plans, and one thing we need to do is make sure our vehicle is road ready.  One thing you should do is make sure you have had an oil and lube.  The right motor oil can save an average of 3 cents per gallon of gasoline.  Doesn't sound like much, but it adds up!  Jiffy Lube has a whole page of winterization tips!

We travel quite a bit, and one thing my husband makes sure of is that we have regular oil and lube done on our vehicle.  Sometimes he even has it done early.  He really prefers to go to a company like Jiffy Lube.  He then knows the type of service he will receive.  And Jiffy Lube is all over!  We use Jiffy Lube quite regularly, so this $35 gift card came in handy.  Since we just had a trip down to New Mexico, and are now in Chicago we will soon be needing another oil and lube.

Who in your family is in charge of making sure your car is road ready?  In our family my husband or sons keep track of the vehicle maintenance.  Jiffy Lube has over 2,000 franchised service centers in North America.  They serve approx. 24 million customers a year.  That is alot of oil and lubes!

Jiffy Lube Technicians:
More than 20,000 trained and certified technicians work at Jiffy Lube service centers across North America. Every technician is required to complete a Jiffy Lube training program so extensive, it is the only quick lube training program to earn the distinction of being an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified Training Provider. The training program is known as the Jiffy Lube University, and it combines state-of-the-art computer-based instruction, supervised on-the-job training, and proficiency testing to help technicians become highly skilled in providing complete maintenance requirements.

Now one of my neighbors will be receiving a Jiffy Lube GC for $35!
This giveaway is sponsored by Jiffy Lube, who is also provided the review Gift Card. Thank you Jiffy Lube!  All quotes are taken from the Jiffy Lube email or website.  All thoughts and opinions are mine.

The last time I had an oil change was back in march, but I haven't driven but to and from work, so I'm not yet due.

Hmmm that would be something I leave to my husband-so no idea. I would assume he had it done a few months ago. With winter on its way I am sure it is about time to have it done again.

Oh gosh, I can't even remember. I just drive our little car around town so there's not much mileage put on it and we use my husband's most of the time. I know the Jiffy Lube thing is faded so I guess it's due.

Been 3 months since a oil change, definetly needs one
I changed my own oil two months ago, so it'll need to be done again in a couple months. It would be great to take it to jiffy lube. [=

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
