Apples of Gold

Hi Neighbors!

I hope you are all ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow!  We are.  Since we are visiting in Chicago, we will be spending the day with some of our friends here, and then another family we know will be arriving from Buffalo, NY area to visit.  I think we will have a great time!  And then the frenzy starts!

Will you be going out shopping Black Friday, or do you have other plans?  Personally, I can't stand crowds!  My husband finds it funny, but when he took us to see Niagara Falls I didn't want to mix in with the crowds, I preferred to stand back and watch.  Anyway, here is the point I was making, I personally would prefer to shop online.  I know, I know, women are supposed to love shopping, but I would much rather do it, without crowds, and with as much convenience as possible.  So, when I saw Apples of Gold I knew it was an  online shop to share with you, my neighbors.

Apples of Gold!  I think I am drooling.  They have some really beautiful gemstone rings.  Blue Topaz is one of my favorite gemstones, and do they ever have a nice selection.  I will also say, that I prefer small delicate looking rings.  I don't care for large, look at me type rings.  So, I want to share a couple of my favorites with you. First up is the Vintage Floral Blue Topaz Ring, which really stood out to me.  It is in .925 sterling silver with a 6mm round topaz.  And quite honestly the price tag is a very reasonable, $149.  The rings usually ship within 5-7 days, and there is free shipping to the US.  I think I will start dropping some hints!

Or if you prefer an amethyst look at this gorgeous ring.  I have a daughter who would love this one.  Purple is her favorite!  This one is a heart shaped amethyst and diamond ring.  The ring is 10K white gold, with a heart shaped amethyst, with diamond accents.  Beautiful! This ring is $219.

Are you looking for a Bridal Set?  Perhaps it is time to pop the question, gentlemen. Look at this one, and it is only $199!  This bridal set is .925 sterling silver with a 4.5mm round white topaz.  The gemstone rating is AAA (excellent).  It is also available in 14K white gold, 18K gold or platinum by request. What do my neighbors think?

What a great place to do some of your shopping!  Be sure to visit the Apples of Gold website and browse around to see if there isn't a ring for someone on your gift list. I mean, who wouldn't like to find one of these rings wrapped up special for them?  I sure wouldn't complain!  If you visit their site, be sure to stop back here and leave a comment if you find something you like.  After all, that is what At the Fence is for!  Neighbors sharing with each other!

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
