Hot Dots Jr Educational Insights Review and Giveaway

Hope you all are having a great day! Thank you for stopping by to visit At the Fence! I so love to have company! I have another really great educational game from Educational insights for young children this time. It is called Hot Dots Jr.

Children will love this game. It comes with a pen named Ace, a really cute little dog. There is a handbook for the parent/teacher and then 5 sets of 2 sided lesson cards. Each set teaches a different lesson. The sets are:
Set 1- Shapes


Set 2- Colors and patterns




Set 3- Let's Learn Numbers



Set 4- Learning the Alphabet



Set 5- Upper Case and Lower Case Letters




This set of Hot Dots Jr. are designed to help children ages 3-6 get ready for school. And another great benefit is they are re-usable. Ace whimpers and buzzes when the answer is incorrect and his eyes flash red. When the answer is correct his eyes flash green and bells ring or a trumpet sounds. You can set it where he says things like: "Good Job", Terrific", You're Right", "Sorry", "Incorrect", "Nope" etc. Ace actually has 23 fun phrases and responses. You can also adjust the volume. This would help hold your child's attention more than just a workbook.





Make sure to keep this fun. Better to do a little a day, then to push and have your child become bored. Be flexible, and be sure to participate with your child. Even if you just sit down for 15-20 minutes a day it will encourage your child to learn. The Lesson Guide has many helpful bits of information for using Hot Dots Jr. and even extra activities you can do to help reinforce the lesson, like using buttons to count, singing the ABC song with your kids and making a Alphabet book. This is seriously a great idea!

When you get started on a lesson be sure to explain to your child how to use Ace. You must hold him upright for the pen to work properly, Also you must touch the black dot under or beside the correct answer, otherwise Ace will give and incorrect response.
