Ten Tips For Making Life Easier While On the Go

Howdy neighbors! Here At The Fence I have another fun writing assignment from SocialMoms. They always team up with great companies and brands and this time they are working with Seattle's Best Coffee. Now I am not a coffee drinker. But almost all the rest of my family is. But I couldn't pass up the chance at this great post opportunity. I know as it is an iced latte my husband probably would not care for it as he doesn't like the iced coffee drinks, but my daughters definitely would! They like to have them in the morning with breakfast and in the evening when they are relaxing. So, I am going to give you ten tips below to help make your life easier and more efficient while on the go.

1.Organize.
I always have a plan and the family members have tasks they are assigned. This helps to keep people doing what they need to in order to get things done fast and efficiently.

2.Buy In Bulk.
Always helps to purchase things in bulk so I am not running out every so often to purchase something small. I love to buy my eggs at Sam's Club and they keep for quite a while.

3.Double Your Recipe.
When you are cooking one meal, make another and stick it in the freezer. Always helps to have an extra meal when you need it and don't have the time to fix one. Really works good for a casserole.

4.Get Plenty of Rest.
It does not help to get sick or be tired as you are trying to run around and do everything a mother has to do. Make sure you are getting plenty of rest!

5.A List.
Make sure to have an easily accessible grocery list. I have a list I use to write down groceries I need. Does not make for a great day when you need to run out before dinner to pick up an ingredient.

6.Keep A Menu Handy.
I am diabetic and can only eat certain foods. So I try to keep a counter or a food gram book in my purse and in the vehicle. Always helps to have it handy.

7.Maintenance.
It is always better to keep something running than to fix it after it is broken. Takes more time and more money. Make sure to have your tune-ups and oil changes done. Keep the car clean and this helps on upkeep. Whatever it is, keep up on the maintenance.

8.Shop Online.
I like taking the time to shop online. Yes I sometimes have to pay shipping and that is extra, but it is better in the long run because I don't have to worry about running out to purchase something and I can shop while I am doing other things.

9.Pay Bills Online.
This makes things much easier than running into the store and if you do the instant payment then it is taken out of your account on time and you don't have to worry about late payment fees. Excellent and easy to do!

10.Keep Fruit and Snacks Handy.
I like to keep a basket handy in the dining room for snacking. This helps to keep hunger down and the children are always using it. Saves time from having to pull a snack out of the fridge and get it ready for the children. Always nice for me too:)

I would love to hear your ideas on making life easier while you are on the go. As mothers we are always so busy that we have to multi-task and we can feel run down. Take time to plan and organize and help each other out:) Let me know in a comment!

Great tips! I am so impressed with all the different things the Moms who entered the contest do.

My tip is...tweak your daily routine each season. Little changes can make a huge difference for keeping you feeling on track!

Being able to pay bills online has to be one of the great time saving inventions ever, especially when travelling!

I love when I make dinner, I make a little extra to save for another dinner, or for lunch the next day. Thanks for all these tips.

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
