Scandle Candle Shimmering Lotion Candle Review

Hi Neighbors,

I am very busy today trying to make up for lost time. Scandle Candle (stands for Skin Candle not a scandal), is a really unique candle. It is very fragrant. Even in the sealed tin I could smell the Warm Vanilla Sugar Shimmering Lotion Candle. Now the difference between Scandle Candle and most candles is as the Scandle Candle heats and slowly melts it turns into a wonderful oil massage lotion. Now, you do not have to use this for massage, you can also just use this as a moisturizing lotion for your hands, elbows, feet, etc. This candle is 100% natural. Mine came in a cute little tin with a Reduce, Reuse, Recycle silicone band around it. My daughters will be claiming that! The candle burns at 2 degrees above body temperature. It is great! It feels warm and soothing and the fragrance is also relaxing.

Scandle Candles:

Q: What makes The Scandle different than some of the other "massage candles" on the market?

A: The Scandle was created because we noticed that several massage candles on the market were only made of soy wax. Soy wax, even when melted is very heavy and doesn't give you the feel that massage oil should have. Also, it doesn't have any of the oils to help moisturize and promote healthy skin. Our candles are so much more than Soy Wax with a Wick...we like to think of it as Lotion with a Wick! Scandles are made with FDA approved ingredients and are everything you'd expect from a skin healthy lotion with the added ambiance and aroma of a spa candle.

Q: Who shouldn't use the Scandle?

A: Pyromaniacs and those allergic to nut based products. Because the Scandle contains soy, jojoba, and shea oils.

Please be advised that if you have children never let them see you dip your hands into a massage candle or pour the lotion onto your skin. Although it is true that our candles burn much cooler than other candles; a child will not know the difference between a "lotion candle" and a paraffin candle."

For more information you can visit their FAQ page.

I have definitely enjoyed my candle. The first time I showed it to my husband I didn't tell him what it was and just started pouring it into his hand. When he felt the warmth he jerked back wondering what I was doing. It was sort of amusing, except I was sitting at my laptop and when he jerked back some ot the oil ran down the screen. Lesson learned! Do not pour a Scandle Candle for anyone without letting them know ahead of time what it is.

Great gift basket idea. Include a CD with relaxing music, maybe some Bubble Bath or Bath Salts, a Scandle Candle or two...

You can order Scandle Candles directly from their online store. They vary in prices depending on size and the container they are in. The Travel Candle I received is $13.95. STop by their website and see what they have available.

It looks like a neat concept. Sometimes, I love the scent of candles so much, I just want to rub the melted wax on my hands. Now here's a candle that is especially for that!

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
