LIbre Loose Leaf Tea Glass Review!

Hello,

Here is a great item for my neighbors who love their loose leaf tea. It is from Libre and is a glass 'n poly Loose Leaf Tea Glass. I love the design. It is not only functional, it is pretty too! It holds 9 oz. It is double walled. The inside being glass and the outside the poly. When you remove the lid, you will see the stainless steel filter that is built in side the second lid. This is really nice for carrying your tea around with you throughout the day. You remove the lid and filter and fill your glass with hot water to just below the rim of the glass. Screw on the filter and place 2-3 grams of loose leaf tea in the filter. Place lid on and tighten. (Be sure to allow to cool a little so steam does not cause leaks.) To steep the tea turn the glass upside down. When it is the color and strength you like, remove the lid and filter together and enjoy your tea. The leaves can be saved inside the filter to use again if desired. Now you can make some tea throughout the day, as long as you can heat water. Pretty nice, I think. And like I said it is also very pretty!

From Libre:Benefits of Loose Leaf Tea

"Loose leaf tea has a much smaller eco-footprint than teabags. Unlike ‘bagged’ tea, loose leaf tea is sold by weight, easy to dispose of and biodegradable. It also requires minimal packaging, unlike bagged tea, which requires significant packaging resources and generates considerably more waste with its bags, boxes and plastic wrappers.
Bagged tea is often made from loose leaf tea production’s tea dust or ‘fannings,’ resulting in a brew that is much less flavourful.
As loose leaf tea is sold by weight, only two to three grams are required for every cup, making it much more cost-effective than pre-packaged teabags."

Ever wondered about the caffeine in tea? See the chart at Libre. You might want to consider following Libre on Twitter. And on the left hand side of their website you can sign up for an email newsletter that will let you receive updates, specials and promotions.

This would be great in a gift basket with some different flavors of loose leaf teas. I know I would appreciate something like this. You can purchase the Loose Leaf Tea Glass for $24.99 right on their website. So stop by and see what they have to offer at Libre.

i love my libres... i have the original & large glass & poly's... keeps my tea drinkably warm at my desk for over an hour, which is great, as i've dumped way too many cold teas down the drain over the years. And the filter is so fine you can even de-bag all those bagged teas you have lying around and it will keep the dust in the filter, not in your tea!

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
