Handy Paint Kit Review and Giveaway!

Neighbors,

Great to get a chance to talk with you At the Fence today. We have a really neat gift idea today as part of our Gift Basket Bonanza. It is called the Handy Paint Kit! Do you know someone who likes to do their own painting and decorating? This would make the perfect gift idea. Here is what is included in the kit:
1 Handy Paint Pail
4 Handy Paint Pail Liners
4 Handy Paint Pail Covers
1 2.5” Paintbrush
1 Handy Paint Tray
2 Handy Paint Tray Liners
1 9” Roller Frame and Cover
($40 value)
Now, I personally love to paint and re-decorate. My children say I do it a little bit too much. We have done regular painting and then applied decals, other times we have actually painted different themes on the walls. We did a Noah's Ark one time, an apple tree with the Fruits of the Spirit, even a soldier with the whole armor of God. So this is a product that I will definitely be using. We recently re-did the bathroom with lighthouse and seashells. I would have loved to have had this kit then.

Nice deep tray. Magnet is at the end.

Paint brush attached to magnet.

The Handy Paint Tray has disposable covers, which really helps with clean up. It has nice large handles for carrying the tray around. One of the things I like best is there is a magnet at the end of the tray that will hold your paint brush in place. No more slipping down into the paint, or having to leave your drippy brush in a separate container. Another nice benefit is the tray is deep. The kit came with a 21/2 inch angle sash paint brush. Also included was a 9" roller frame and cover. Then there is a Handy Paint Pail with disposable liners and covers that you can place over the pail when you have to take a break in your painting. (They look like mini shower caps with Handy Paint Pail printed all over them). The pail has a large handle for ease of moving. The Handy Paint Pail also has a magnet to hold the paint brush up. Nice! Painting just got easier!

Here is how it all started:

"The Handy Paint Pail was created in 2001 in classic Do-It-Yourself style. Mark Bergman was doing some painting around his house using the standard "coffee can" paint container. When Mark’s hand began to tire, he designed a strap out of duct tape and the Handy Paint Pail was born.

This unique new product has been achieving tremendous sales results in hardware stores, home centers and paint stores since it hit the market in February of 2002. Both do-it-yourself painters and professionals are attracted to the ergonomic design and multiple features.

The Handy Paint Pail was developed to solve issues that everyone has experienced when painting. It will hold up to a quart of paint, and the adjustable strap allows for custom fit and comfort. The strap can also affix to a belt for hands free use when climbing a ladder. A magnet is mounted on the inside to hold the brush, and a built in scraper lip removes excess paint. The Handy Paint Pail is made in the USA out of polypropylene material, which is extremely durable, solvent resistant and easy to clean."

The handle makes it so much easier to move around!

A slip on cover to use.

See the magnet?

You might want to take a look at their product page, because I saw several other items I wouldn't mind trying out. Like the Handy Ladder Pail. You can purchase their products at most of the major hardware stores and several smaller ones. Check here.

Now you might not be able to find a gift basket big enough, but you could certainly wrap in pretty cellophane or netting, attach a bow, and you have a ready made gift.

There will be 5 winners in this giveaway. Each winner will receive their own kit. You may only win one. USA Only.

Mandatory Entry:Visit the Handy Paint Pail website and then in a comment let me know who you would like this for. You do not have to be a blogger to enter, but you must leave a valid email where you can be reached should you win. This giveaway will end 11/24 at 11:59 pm CST. Since we purchased a 60 year old home several months ago that we are gutting & remodeling, I would love to win this for hubby. Remodeling that house is a job & a half and we hope to move into it next spring.

I personally hate painting as the paint smell gives me a headache. The next project on the house is gutting the living room, installing carpeting, painting the walls & adding a chair railing & wall border.

I DO love to paint and redecorate but not too healthy the past few years to catch up on this. My poor teen daughter has been waiting 4 years for her room to be done, and will be graduating this year...maybe this might get me going on that with some help from my sisters!

thanks much!

I like to redecorate, but I'm not a fan of painting - that's why I think this is so great! I have had the paint for my living room for the better part of a year (as well as new pictures, lamps, etc. piled in a corner of the living room). I'd really like to spend my time over the Christmas holiday getting this project done!

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
