Gold Toe Power Sox EZ Match

Hi neighbors,

Boy did the temperature drop here today! Fall Festival time At the Fence!  I have to admit that I like cooler weather, but sometimes, my feet just get colder than the rest of me.  I thought this would be the perfect time to review the Gold Toe Power Sox that are EZ Match.  We have a tendency to keep it on the cool side in our home, so when someone begins to feel a little colder than they want to, we usually put on a pair of socks and a sweater.  Now we have carpeting so slipping in socks is not a problem, but I guess if you have tile or hardwood floors it might be.  The very best thing about these socks is that they are easy to match.  The small ones have only one gold band around the toes.  The medium have two bands and the large have three.  No
more trying to decide if you are putting the right ones together.  You can tell just by looking at the toes.  Yeah! Thank you Gold Toe!  I have six children.  They came in pairs. 2 girls, almost 2 years apart, then two boys almost two years apart, and last but not least, two more girls right about 3 years apart.  Not to mention my husband and myself.  That makes for a lot of socks.  And a lot of matching socks! Imagine 8 people, 16 feet, 16 socks a day, that equals 112 socks in one week.  I don't think I want to go any further.  Like when boys come in and change their socks after playing sports.  Or your youngest daughter changed outfits and need her socks to match the new outfit.  You can see where I am headed with this.  That is why I really like these socks.  Now if I could just convince the whole family to put both of them in the laundry at the same time!

One!

Two!

Gold Toe Socks are are really comfortable.  My daughters love them.  And the kids large fit me!  Forget sharing these!  Anyway, I like how soft they are.  My daughter likes these ones because they are the lo-cut.

See the Gold bands!

On Me!

Obviously Gold Toe does more than just the EZ Match Socks.  My sons and my husband both like their dress socks.  Gold Toe has socks for Men, women, and children in both dress and sport. Gold Toe is a name that has been around for quite some time. (80 years)

The Gold Toe Legacy:

"Chances are that if you know the name of any brand of sock in the world it's the iconic GOLDTOE® brand. GOLDTOE® socks have been the category leader and standard of quality for over eight decades.

Early in the 20th Century, two German immigrants founded a small mill in Bally, Pennsylvania to manufacture socks. As a tribute to their adopted home, they named the company the Great American Knitting Mills. Ironically, the most fruitful and enduring reward arose as Great American humbly answered Americans hard hit by the Great Depression. Consumers wanted socks that wore better and lasted longer. Great American's response was to sew a reinforcing yarn made of gold linen into the toes of its socks and thus an iconic American brand was born, the GOLDTOE® brand. Before long, Americans everywhere asked for the durable socks the only way they knew how, "the ones with the gold toe." Since then, GOLDTOE® socks are the Standard of Quality®.

Today, for every occasion from formal galas to relaxed weekends at home, the GOLDTOE®  brand has the finest selection of sock wear, the Standard of Quality®, for men, women and children."

Gold Toe will be sending the winner 1 pack of small, medium and large Kids size socks. The same that I received.

I love the cool fall weather, but occasionally I will wear a nice, warm sweater if it gets too cold. And of course, it's a good excuse to make a cup of coffee :)

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
