BOO BOO ZOO Review and Giveaway!

Hey Neighbors!

I found another really great Etsy Shop! It is called Boo Boo Zoo. She makes cute little warm and cold packs, for aches and pains. She makes them for both children and adults. I love the shapes and material she uses. I received a Cowboy Boot, which my daughter has used. And then several pairs of hand warmers which we are taking on a trip out west soon. Her Boo Boo Bags come in an assortment of animal shapes, Owl, Butterfly, Hippo, and Kitty just to name a few. There are bugs, cupcakes, popsicles, trains, rocket ships, etc. To top it all off they are priced very reasonably. ($5-$6)

The Hand Warmers called Happy Hands Warmers run $3-$5. They are perfect for those cool days when you can warm them and stick them in your child's pockets. Or when they come in from playing and want to warm their hands.

Any of these can be chilled for a child running a temperature, or when they come in and want to cool down.

The Wrist Wraps are great for someone with a sprain, or Carpel Tunnel. I did not receive one of these but they look like they would work great! The Wrist Wraps run $4.50.

About Boo Boo Zoo:

"#5 - what got you started with your Etsy shop? and why that name? I have TMJ and need to use heat and cold to help combat it. Any old one will do, but well I thought about having something a little more fun. I saw an opportunity to do something no one else does and just started crafting. I picked BooBooZoo because the first designs I ever made were Hannah the Hippo, Edward the Elephant, Frankie the Fish and Wille the Whale and well it looked like I was making a Zoo (plus I like things that rhyme)
#6 - where do you get your ideas? And what prompted you to make what you do? Alot of my ideas come from fabrics I see or from customers. If I see a cute fabric I always buy it then try to make a design that will work with it. I am a faricaholic it is kinda scary... I have it everywhere! Not all designs work for me. I have tried many that I just can't get right... still working on most and I know one day I will get the shapes perfected! Alot of time (like with my wrist wraps, and Tummy Betters) it comes from a customer needing something, they put an idea in my head and well away I go. I am not afraid of craft Fails! I have alot of them, but I don't stop till it looks good and is functional. I do save all the fails... who knows one day I may need them for a hall of fame."

I'm not sure how creative it is, but my idea is for a series of VERY manly back betters or migraine managers... in fabrics like blue/green tartan or a suiting type of pinstripe.

Wow it was sooooooo hard to narrow it down to one choice, but this is what I would want to win from BooBooZoo:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/55019784/backtummy-better-retro-style-brown-and
and then I'd probably still have to buy about half of the rest of the store! ;)
Here's a creative new idea for BooBooZoo - Make a "family set" of BooBoo items that all have the same theme - for example, I love the kitties. So make a Kitty boo boo bag, a kitty wrist wrap, a kitty migraine manager, a kitty back/stomach bag, and a kitty neck wrap and sell it as a set!! :)

I long one that would fit along the lower back would be really nice! My mom had back surgery and had to ice it every two hours and the packs they gave her ever seemed to cover enough area so if there were something developed to fit across the whole lower back that would be cool plus it could probably double as a cover for around the neck and both shoulders!

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
