Kyjen Innovative Dog Products Review and Giveaway!

Hi Neighbors!

I have been playing with our dog, Roxy this morning, and thought I would take a quick trip out and talk to you At the Fence about these really nice products Kyjen sent me for review. First off let me tell you, I have had trouble finding toys that Roxy would play with and not destroy. She has ruined two tennis balls in the last two days. Anything stuffed she shreds until there is stuffing all over. She doesn't seem to care for rubber toys, she likes toys she can get a good hold of. Now I am sure some of you are picturing a Rottweiler, Pit Bull, or even a German Shepherd, but......Roxy is a Morkie (a Yorkie, Maltese cross). She will play all day if you didn't quit first. She brings her toy, lays it at your feet and barks until you throw it. Then she immediately returns for more.

Now that I've told you some about Roxy, let me tell you a little bit about Kyjen. Kyjen only sells their own brands designed by their team in Colorado.

"At Kyjen we’re on a mission to create the best pet products in the world!
To do that, we’ve based our operations near the Colorado foothills where we can hike, play, and entertain our pooches to their hearts’ content… all the while doing the in-depth research and development required to maintain a thriving business that appeals to pets and their owners worldwide! Every day is “Bring Your Pet To Work Day” at Kyjen!

Our Team…
Our Founders, Kyle and Jennifer Hansen (the “Ky” and the “Jen”), established Kyjen in 1992. As a privately–held company, Kyjen prides itself in independence, transparency, accessibility, and the ability to remain nimble in the marketplace. We are known as top innovators in the pet industry – a reputation we happily support."

Kyjen sent me their Eco-Carrier and an Invincible. I will discuss the Eco Carrier first. It is light weight, mad of the type of material that re-usable grocery bags are made out of. It will easily carry a pet up to 25 lbs. It has a clip to hook to your dog's collar and comes in three choices of color. (Plaid, Spotty Dotty, and Swirl) Look at the pictures of Roxy in the Eco Carrier while my daughter has her. The Eco Carrier is only $9.99 and is a convenient replacement for the cardboard carriers.

On to the Invincibles. This has to be one of Roxy's favorite toys right now. We received the six squeaker in green and black. This snake is literally twice as long as Roxy. All you have to do is squeak it once or twice and she comes in to attack the snake. She dodges in and out and then grabs it and shakes the snake. The whole family was laughing watching her with the Invincible. I am attaching pictures and I am going to try to attach some video. One of the really great things about the Invincible is they still squeak even after being punctured. How often have you purchased a toy and the squeaker gets punctured and no longer works?

Obviously this is just two of the many items Kyjen carries. They have such a variety: Bungee Toys, Puzzle Toys, Water Toys, Bottle Buddies, they even carry some Agility Starter Kits. You just have to go by their website and browse through what they have available if you own a dog. Along with the toys they have Pet Travel Gear. Carriers, Life Jackets, Bandanas, Bowls, Jackets, etc.

Kyjen is a company worth sharing At the Fence. Roxy definitely approves.

Kyjen is sending the winner of this giveaway 2 of their toys, 1 Invincible and 1 Hide a Squirrel. (See the Hide a Squirrel below.)

Mandatory Entry: Visit Kyjen and in a comment tell me about one of their other toys you think your dog would like. I wish they could just come up with a toy that can not be destroyed by a dog. Our dog seems to play until there is nothing left but a couple of threads.

The Tail Teaser looks like it would give our dog hours of fun. We have a destructive pooch and I am interested in these new toys that have no filling.

I didn't realize that they made so many of the great products I love. We just bought an Outward Hound lifejacket for our mini-vacation. Our last dog's favourite toy was the Hedgehog. They were his babies and he never really destroyed them. We also love the H2O ball. I'd love to try the invisibles or the bungee toys.

Kyjen should create life-like Tuff toys. The toys that I see are somewhat flat and don't have much dimension or detail. I would like to see toys with more than just a shape.

a good toy to create is one that has no edge on it or a seam--my pomeranian goes right for that and tears them apart within a day or two--it get costly buying dog toys, i need some that are more durable.

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
