Kitty Wood Designs Review and Giveaway!

Hey neighbors!

Here is a really neat Etsy shop called Kitty Wood Designs. She makes the most adorable items. Obviously I have stated in the past how much I like tea, well, I seem to have passed that on to my daughters. Both of them love tea parties. When I was given a choice of which product to review this cute little Tea Party ring and matching hair clips caught my eye. She also included a cupcake ring. My daughter thinks they are the best! Of course it helps that they are her favorite color of pink! The first ring is a pink heart with Tea Party on it. On the upper left side is a pink bow. The hair clips have from left to right, a tan teddy bear with pink bow around his neck, the same type of pink heart as the ring, that says Tea Party, then the cutest little pink cup and saucer, and last is the matching pink teapot! The extra ring has a pink glitter circle with a pink cupcake with yellow icing. The rings are adjustable so they will fit your daughters fingers. They will even fit adults as long as you don't have short, pudgy fingers like mine. The wrapping was almost as nice as the items she sent! The hair clips and one ring came wrapped in two pieces of netting, one light pink and one dark pink and then tied with a pretty pink ribbon with white and purple polka dots on it. The second ring came in one of those plastic balls from a gumball machine, but it was decorated with blue stick on jewels and inside the ring was wrapped in flower petals. All of this was mailed in a manila envelope with flowers.

Obviously this is not all that is created at Kitty Wood Designs. She has necklaces, bracelets, and anklets. You can follow Kitty Wood Designs on Twitter to see what new projects and ideas she is working on. She is also working on a new website www.kittywooddesigns.com . You definitely need to visit her there.

About Kattie:

"My name is Kattie, I’m 15 years old and live in New Mexico where I am currently attending High School. I’ve been designing jewelry for little over a year for both personal use and special request from friends. I have since expanded what was a hobby into a small chic business.

I could never find the type of jewelry and accessories I thought represent who I was in stores and I loved trinket items. When I started on this venture I was a little concerned I would get a reaction less then accepting to my style, little did I know though I was completely wrong. After several prototypes and general success with a finished product I started to get request from friends and even some of their friends.

I was encouraged by family and friends to follow my creative passion and I decided to approach a few specialty shops. You can find my creations in various local consignment shops around the Albuquerque down town area. I have since turned to the online market in hopes to continue my passion for creating jewelry and accessories, meeting new friends, and learning new tips to improve my product."

Talk about taking a talent and using it! Kattie, Thank you for allowing At the Fence to share your jewelry.

I suggest her new theme is storybook theme, maybe like mini books, a book worm, fairy tale characters like Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella. A really cute necklace would be like a stack of little books and a little book worm on top with glasses.

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
