Joy of Soap review and Giveaway!

CLOSED
Hey neighbors,

What a beautiful day out here At the Fence. After a rainy weekend it is great to be outside again. I wanted to tell you about Joy of Soap, a natural, handmade soap company. You would not believe how wonderful the package smelled when it arrived. I have Gardenia Goosebumps (my favorite), Manly Man (I love the fragrance), and Peppermint Passion (Wonderful!). I also received a black soap dish, what a nice benefit! The soaps are $7.50 for a 5oz. bar and $3.50 for a 2oz bar. I really like mine. They lather up nicely, and the fragrance lingers! They will also be carrying Creams, Cleansers, and Scrubs in the future. Joy of Soap is even willing to customize a scent if you are interested.

About the Joy of Soap:

"The Joy of Soap was created as a result of my many years spent traveling for work, which can be fun and exciting but hard on your skin. I always had trouble finding soaps that were not full of skin-drying chemicals and ultimately decided the way to get the finest possible soap was to start making my own using natural ingredients and old fashioned craftsmanship. From this The Joy of Soap was born.

In addition to the dry atmosphere on airplanes, commercially made soaps placed in hotel bathrooms add to skin dehydration. All of our natural soap is hand crafted, hand cut and hand wrapped in small batches, using certified organic oils, therapeutic grade essential oils and ingredients that are gentle on your skin. Our smaller size soap is perfect for work or pleasure trips enabling you to nurture your skin while away from home and be conscious of the environment by eliminating the need to dispose of hotel soaps and packaging. Take my soaps with you in a handy container on every trip and always enjoy the nurturing results of The Joy of Soap natural, organic ingredients.

Customers have been asking for other bath and skin care products, and based on suggestions and feedback we are working on a line of bath and skin care products that will help you to develop your own daily cleansing and bathing rituals using gentle and nourishing oils and botanicals that leave your skin clean, refreshed and rejuvenated, and that provide you with a daily indulgence to restore and increase your well being.

Melissa Hutcheson"

I really think my neighbors will like the Joy of Soap products. And Joy of Soap is giving away a GC for $40. Just browse their site and imagine what you might purchase.

Very interesting! I learned that, due to the chemical composition of soap, it's basically impossible for any soap to be over 85% organic, which doesn't meet the standards for USDA organic certification.

I knew basically what Essential Oils were, but I had no idea that they had "antiseptic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties." I knew I liked products with Essential Oils better than those with perfumes, and now I like them even more!

How is The Joy of Soap different from soaps for sale in the supermarket?
The Joy of Soap is made from only food grade vegetable oils and sustainable plant materials. Commercially made soaps, contain animal fat, petroleum derivatives, synthetic colorings, and chemical preservatives. These are actually not bars of soap, but detergents. Also, The Joy of Soap is cruelty-free.

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
