Families With Purpose Engagement Planner R and G

CLOSED
Oh Neighbors,

This is a really handy tool to have, it is an Engagement Planner from Families with Purpose. I had to share this one At the Fence. I will describe the planner, but I have to let you know there is much more to their website than items to purchase. You really need to take some time and wander through their site. They have all sorts of ideas to help busy families find time for the little things. They have some crafts, science activities, family meals, holiday traditions etc. If you are looking for something to do for family night, stop in and check out this page. I am amazed by the possibilities! As a family that is full-time on the road, and very busy in churches, we often have to plan time together and one way we do it, is family night, so I appreciate new ideas. We also read together as a family, both our Bibles and old books.

For dinner ideas, hat night is one of their options. It sounds like something we might try. We have chosen missionaries and had food from the countries they are sent to, along with dressing up and reading about their country.

Anyway, on to my planner. I thought this would be a great choice as we always need calendars and planner to keep our family of 8 running smoothly. This is a 17 month Engagement Planner. It comes with 288 stickers, to help remind you of events. There is a pocket in the front inside cover where you can stick important little papers or coupons, etc. Inside the first page is a place for personal information, along with emergency information. Another page allows you to list Birthdays and Anniversaries. The main part of the planner is a weekly calendar, with an entire week on two pages. On the left hand page is a tear off grocery list, while on the right is a menu planner. The calendar is August 2010 to December 2011. In the back of the planner is a couple of pages for addresses, Baby-sitters, Children's Friends, restaurants, services, notes and emergency contacts. The planner is very useful. I am going to start filling mine in even though it won't start until August. July is flying and August will be here soon.

Now, I mentioned that Families with Purpose does have items for sale. Check out their store for a wide variety of planners, calendars, dry erase boards, dinner games, and travel games. The Mom's Plan it that I received is $14.99. So take a few minutes and browse their website. You can also sign up for their newsletter, visit their blog, or listen to their radio program. Of course you can also find them on Facebook here and Twitter here.

Families with Purpose is offering one of the Mom's Plan It Engagement Planners to the winner of this giveaway. Just think how handy this would be to have.

Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
