VERMONT APRON REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY!

Hey Neighbors,

Glad to see you At the Fence! How was your day today? I just have to share a really great company with you. The Vermont Apron Company was gracious enough to send me two children's apron sets for review and one ladies apron as a giveaway. I'll share the details on that one later. First I just have to tell you I love these apron sets. The first one is called Teacups and Birds. A real pretty purple with lime green and pink teapots and teacups with pink flowers and the pockets are are cream with branches and birds. It came with a matching Kerchief. These are adorable!!

The second apron is a tan with very thin red stripes that run both directions. I believe they call this Antique red. The apron has a very beautiful lace on the bottom. This apron came with a matching prairie bonnet. Both of the aprons have pockets that have an elastic gather at the top. The neck and waist of both aprons are gathered on drawstrings and can be adjusted as your daughter grows. Isn't that a great idea! And each apron has a bow in the center of the waist. This is a great gift idea.

Here is Vermont Apron's description of these aprons:
"We designed this full length Aprons for little girls to provide full coverage. The neck and waist are working drawstrings that allow for fit adjustments. As a child grows, the waist can be worn up higher Princess style and the skirt will widen to match the shape of the wearer."

And here is their description of the bonnet:
"Our Prairie Bonnet is a close replica to the vintage ones our Ancestral grandmothers wore. The Bonnet's body is machine quilted on a thin layer of cotton batting and measures 22" around the face with a 5" ruffle at each end. It measures 5 1/2" inches deep where it attaches to the back piece. It is gathered into the Bonnet body. This back piece allows for enough room to accommodate long hair put up in a bun to keep it clean and away from the sun."

Now Vermont Apron obviously carries aprons for woman in an amazing amount of styles. They also have aprons for men and boys. They have Chef Hats, Mob Caps, and as you have already seen they carry Kerchiefs and Prairie Bonnets. Stop by their website and browse through all they have available.

Vermont Apron is well worth sharing At the Fence. I have to admit I saved the best for last. And I have a confession, it was awful tempting to keep this, but alas it was offered for the giveaway! Wait until you see this apron. Vermont Apron shipped this to me and I will ship it on to the winner. It was only worn for the pictures I took and I did iron it for the pictures.

Here is Vermont Aprons description:
"Made of 100% Cotton. We paired a primitive weave with Lace Appliques and a pretty Satin Ribbon neck tie. The Lace hem and pin tucks add a dressy touch to the skirt. The bodice is machine quilted, finished in lace and tied in Pretty satin Ribbons. Machine wash and dry.The Bodice measures 8" across and 9" high. The skirt falls 28" from the 2 1/2" waist band and is approximately 42" wide. Each waist tie is over 40" long allowing a proper fit for most everyone."

MANDATORY ENTRY:Visit Vermont Apron and come back and leave a comment letting me know which other apron you like. You must complete this to enter any other way. Baby First TV 'I Can Sign" First Words

Hey Neighbors! Here is a really neat gift idea for someone with a young child.  Here we have I Can Sign (First Words) from Baby First  TV.  Now, I am just going to share right here that we have friends who have taught two of their children to sign at a very young age.  And it works!  Their children could sign before they could talk. The Dvd will teach your child many useful words that will be used in day to day life.  Words like: eat, water, milk, cookie, ear, feet hands, kiss, sleep, book, mother, father, and many other words.  Each word is taught in a short video clip where they will see pictures of the word/item and people signing.  There is also a little character at the bottom corner of the video signing along.  The Dvd can be done on English or Spanish.  Also included on the Dvd are printable coloring pages that you can print off by inserting the Dvd into your computer.  Inside the cover of the Dvd case is a little booklet that covers some of the words you and your child

What To Do About Those Fuzzy Uninvited Guests In The Home

When we talk about pests in the home, the most common that we tend to deal with are the creepy-crawlies that find their way in. Ants, termites, and spiders, for instance. Occasionally though, you have a real chance of getting a much bigger, fuzzier unwanted guest in the home. What do you do about the fact your home is at risk of becoming a wildlife sanctuary for some truly unhealthy and even dangerous beasts? Picture by Alexas_Fotos Know the signs It doesn’t matter if you’re in a suburban home, a country cottage, or a fourth-floor apartment. Some animals can find their way just about anywhere. It’s worth knowing the signs of pest infestation so you can confirm it and act on it immediately. Spotting droppings, keeping an ear out for scratching, and looking for signs of nesting like shredded paper, scrunched leaves, and grass clippings around the home without explanation can help you start fighting back.  Hey neighbors, its with a heavy heart I let you all know that my mom (Lori) unexpectedly passed away the end of June. Our family has been taking the time between now and then to be together and remember what a light mom was. I came on towards the end of last year and was planning on fully moving my interviews and review to this website. I intend to to so partially to keep mommas beautiful website going. Thank you all so much for your love and support over the years. ~Mercy
