Empower Boxing Boot Camp!

Hey Neighbors!

Are you planning on getting in shape after the holidays?  Or do you know someone who does?  Then maybe you should check into the Empower Boxing Boot Camp set ($39.99).  I received this set from Empower for review purposes (and they are going to do a giveaway too!).

Anyway, I have a 25 year old daughter who takes working out seriously.  She also enjoys practicing Martial Arts.  She has a bag outside to practice on, along with using her brother.  So, when I told her about this she was really excited.

She has been doing this program 2-3 days a week since we received it.  The first time she used it, she told me it was really fun!  Then the next day she wasn't so excited, when she told me how sore she was from using different muscles!  I had to laugh!  Anyway, she likes the Empower Boxing Boot Camp.

The set comes with a comfort fit jump rope, a 6 lb. sand filled toning ball, 2 lb. weighted gloves (1 lb. each), the 12 Rounds DD and a workout guide.  My daughter is thoroughly enjoying this program.  The only drawback she brought up is, because in boxing you almost always lead with one hand, they do not alternate. Still, she feels that she is getting a good workout using this 2-3 days a week.  There are workout options for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.  My daughter can now, throw punches, combinations,  jabs, hooks and uppercuts.  She walks around casually throwing punches now.

The Boxing Boot Camp video was created by Jaime Clampitt:

Professional boxer Jaime Clampitt has spent her life working hard for her many titles. But before she was fighting in the ring, she had to fight against the odds to prove she had what it takes to participate in a sport that barely had any women. Now a nationally and internationally renowned and respected boxer, Jaime has more than 17 years of expertise competing, teaching, and training.
Jaime is a 4 time World Champion Professional Female Boxer, a World Amateur Female Boxer, a Canadian National Female Boxer, a USA Boxing coach, and personal trainer.

After the holidays, I want to start lifting small weights, I know I will be sore after a few day like your daughter . I enjoy walking the neighborhood at a fast pace each day when the weather is nice.

I try to walk at least an hour most days and then do varying times on our elliptical machine.

I use Bob Harpers Inside Out Method DVDs. They are great, the Cardio Rev and Pure Burn Super Strength are fantastic. I also play UFC Personal Trainer on Xbox 360 Kinects. Another good workout.

I've been doing some strength training with a friend of mine who is a personal trainer, and I've been running for my cardio! But punching the bag is one of my fave workouts, so I know I'd love this!

I started to do Zumba but I just couldn't get into the rhythm of things! Literally! This seems like so much more fun than that!
