How is your day going? I have a few minutes so I thought I would visit At the Fence for awhile with my neighbors. We are painting an enclosed back patio and turning it into a bedroom for my younger 2 daughters. Purple and a bright pink! I am so glad that they will be waking up to it and not me! Even the gentleman who mixed the paint said that the pink was quite bright! Actually the two colors go well together.
On to my next product from Educational Insights. I received Math Slam, and is it ever super! It is recommended for ages 5+, but my whole family has been having fun trying to get faster and faster at solving the problems! You can set it for addition, subtraction, filling the blank in the math sentence, sequencing, etc. Now, as I said it is designed to help younger children learn, but it is effective in teaching speed to those a little older. My husband can do math in his head very quickly, while I am good at math on paper, but not so good if I have to do it all in my head. There is a volume dial on the side, and 3 C batteries are required. The game recycles questions until your child has answered all of them correctly. Then it challenges them to get a better time. The game will power off if left more than 30 seconds with no activity. This is definitely a great product to help your child improve in math.
Educational Insights is definitely one of my favorite places to find educational games. Many of these are perfect for extra study or for homeschooling. You can purchase Math Slam on the Educational Insights website for $39.99. You can also try to win one here. Just in time for school!
