How are you doing today? I hope you are having as great a week as I am! We so enjoy visiting Chicago. Now, back to Get Out and Get Active! SimulTalk sent me the Dangle Sports Headset. Before I even tell you any more about this headset, I have to tell you I am sold on it! The Dangle Sports Headset is designed to keep the earbuds from being ripped from your ears. Has that ever happened to you? You are listening to music while exercising, or perhaps doing housework, and your wire catches on something and rips out of your ear. That is not fun, nor does it feel good. The Dangle headset is formed in a circle that you place around your neck and the earbuds are on each side for you to place in your ears. The wire hangs down the front to attach to your mp3 player, iPod, cell phone, laptop, etc. There is a retractable wire that connects between the headset and whatever device you are using. The headset is designed like a necklace with earbuds. It also has a mic and a shirt clip. The Dangle Headset comes with different size ear bud gels so you get the perfect fit. With the retractable wire you virtually have no excess wire dangling in your way. Put it on, adjust to your requirements and then take off. These are great for a walking program! I can listen to anything I have on my mp3 player.
This also works great with my computer. I can listen while doing work on my computer. I can also record with the mic. This is a seriously handy gadget! Right now you can purchase them on the SimulTalk website for $19.95, they are regularly $29.95. So if you are interested, make sure you order one soon! With my set I also received the Headset Splitter ($9.95), which allows two people to listen at once. Each piece on the Splitter has it's own volume control. What a great benefit! Have you ever tried to listen with a splitter and the other person needs it softer or louder than you? And the Laptop Adapter ($4.95) which allows you to connect to both the headphone and mic jack on your computer. Thus you can listen and record.
Above is the Laptop Adapter.
Above is the Splitter with the volume control.
Another quick little fact is, a test was run on the Dangle Headset and they found out that 99.1% of the radio frequencies emitted by a radio are not present at the ear buds. If you add their ferrite bead that is changed to 99.9% of the radiation.
I highly recommend the Dangle Sports Headset!

I learned Studies have suggested that if a headset wire passes close to the antenna of a cell phone, radiation (RF) can transmit up the wire to the person's head.

I learned that "Your phone emits radiation when you talk or text, but not when you're receiving messages. Listening more and talking less reduces your exposures." (Great news for a quiet listener... lol)

this would be great for my daughter's laptop... She uses it to listen to music, talk/mod in chatrooms, etc. It would also be great for when she does talk on the cell... hmmm... wonder if it will work on the PS3? *looking it up...* lol
I learned:
A Ferrite Bead is an ideal add-on accessory for any wired headset. It is designed to suppress radiation transferred from the cell phone, through the wired headset, without effecting sound quality.

Definitely learned something new: "Studies have suggested that if a headset wire passes close to the antenna of a cell phone, radiation (RF) can transmit up the wire to the person's head."
I did not know that.
