LET ME CHARM U BRACELET REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY

Hey Neighbors,

This is a beautiful bracelet from LET ME CHARM U . I was able to choose one of their bracelets to review and they also sent one for me to pass on to a neighbor. Isn't that great? Let Me Charm U is a family business started by Carmen and her husband Ray. They offer custom pendants, bracelets, and key chains. She was really nice to talk to on the phone and was great to work with.

She sent me a beautiful rose bracelet in two different sizes. They have several different bracelets, with many different graphics to choose from. They can also use your pictures. These can be used as souvenirs for an event or for a fundraiser.

Here is some information from their site:

"About Us
Let Me Charm U.com specializes in customizing charms, bracelets pendants and key chains to your specifications. We customize these items from the photos, logos or information that you provide us. We can create spirit wear or specified items for schools, non-profits, charities, churches, hospitals, or any organization that has the desire for a unique one of a kind product bearing their logo. We do single requested items, or we can do quantities of 1,000 or more. All custom items are made with an enamel hard coating that keeps them from peeling off or becoming dull. Our items are made to last, have a stainless steel base and will bring those that receive them many years of enjoyment.
My husband Ray and I had the desire to create a business of our own, but not just any business. We wanted something that we could build that would allow us to not only reach out to other organizations and assist with their efforts, but to also create that once in a lifetime gift. We didn’t want to fit the mold of having a business similar to others. Having our own creative business has allowed us the opportunity to interact with and meet many new people. I am the social butterfly, and Ray is the quiet and much focused type. We both however shared the same dream of building a business with a personal touch. Our desire was to create something unique, personable and fun, yet sustainable, durable long lasting and affordable. We wanted to be able to create something that regardless of how different or complex the request, it could be created exactly to the customer’s specifications. Therefore we started Letmecharmu.com. We specialize in taking your photos and logos and making wearable products that are long lasting and impressionable. We can create that one of a kind item that will be cherished for years to come. Our design is your design. It is something that is created from information that you provide to us. Just tell us what is important to you and we'll create a sentiment for that special person of your choosing. Our products are perfect for any age or gender. We hope that you enjoy and cherish your product as much as we've enjoyed creating it for you."

Once again this is an item I want to share with my neighbors At the Fence. You can enter to win your own Rose Bracelet. My daughter is keeping the thinner one, so you may enter to win the wider one. They are really pretty.

SASSAFRAS BAKING KIT

Hello Neighbors,

I have a new item to share At the Fence. Sassafras Enterprises allowed us to review their Volcano Cakes Tray Kit and are allowing me to giveaway one mini kit (winners choice). We really had fun with this one as you will see by the pictures. The kit includes a brownie mix, icing, 2 silicone pans, a wooden spoon, and a rhyming recipe with instructions.

We took several pictures of making, baking, licking the bowl, and the finished product. They came out beautiful. The instructions were easy to follow, and we now have the pans to re-use, along with the wooden spoon for mixing. We did have to add more water to the icing mix, but the recipe stated that you might have to do this. Overall, this is a great product and would make a good gift, or just something special to do together with mom. As you do have to use the oven adult supervision is needed.

Sassafras carries many other baking items. They carry timers, seasonal, baking, and gourmet kits. Any child, boy or girl can find something here that interests them. And one of you is going to win your choice of one of the mini baking kits ($14.95). Isn't that great! This is a product to share At the Fence.

Here is a little bit about the company:

"Sassafras History

Like many small businesses, Sassafras started out of the home. Back in 1977, the company was born with the introduction of a Chicago-Style Deep Dish Pizza Kit. This kit was the first one for pizza marketed directly to the consumer. Before that time, if one made pizza at home, they had to use a cake pan! This humble product sowed the seeds for what would become a company dedicated to the development of innovative, well-designed products for the home, with an emphasis on kids.
Currently we have the best selection of kids baking products on the market. This category began with the Kids Pizza Making Kit. Now, Sassafras offers a wide range of baking kits as well as softgoods, tool kits and a silicone baking kit. All of our food products are gourmet-quality and U.S. made with an emphasis on great taste and ease of preparation. We believe strongly that there is a resurgence in home cooking and kids are leading the way!
Sassafras sells to better specialty and department stores worldwide. In addition to a strong gift business in the states, Sassafras exports to Europe, Canada, Mexico, South America, the Far East and Australia.
We believe in a strong relationship with our retailers; their feedback and support are vital to our company’s success and our partnership with them is reflected in the evolution of our line. Thank you for your interest in Sassafras. We look forward to doing business with you.
Sincerely,
Steven and Nancy Schwab
Owners
Sassafras Enterprises, Inc."

Please only enter the allowed amount of times or ALL your entries will be removed. Some entries you are allowed to do more than once so please pay attention.

MANDATORY ENTRY-Go to Sassafras and check out their kits. Come back and let me know in a comment which one you would choose if you won. After completing this you may do one or all of the extra entries.

Money Savvy Pig Review and Giveaway

Hi Neighbors,

I thought I would go ahead and add this review and giveaway now as we will be traveling the next couple of days, and I am not sure of having internet availability. This review is from Money Savvy Generation (Helping Kids Get Smart About Money)

I have to tell you I stumbled on this company while on the internet and wrote them regarding a review and giveaway. I was interested by what I saw on their website, but since seeing the Money Savvy Pig and the Cash Cache, A Beginning Personal Finance Organizer, I am now impressed. I have noticed and I am sure others have too, that our youth of today oftentimes have little knowledge of how to handle finances. We have become a very credit oriented society. I want my children to know how to budget their money, plan ahead with their finances, and know how to save and invest. Money Savvy Generation has many items to help instill some of this knowledge in your child.

Both of these items would be great for any child, but I especially recommend them to homeschoolers. Money Savvy Pig is divided into 4 sections: save, spend, donate, and invest; each a separate compartment with openings in each foot when it comes time to remove the money. Each section has a spot for a little label to add so you can individualize them for each child. Money Savvy Pig comes in six color choices, and they carry a cow and football bank. This is recommended for ages 4-11. They also have a program you can use at home called Money Savvy Kids @ Home .

I was able to review the Cash Cache too. This is for children ages12-16. My husband likes this so much that he wants to order 2 more for our other children. This binder includes a handbook on how to use the Cash Cache, small pockets inside to hold bankcards etc., 4 zippered pockets labeled Save, Invest, Spend, and Donate, Goal Sheets, Spending Diary for the Week, along with a few others. There is a combination lock to close the binder.

We are presently working with these two items, but as I said plan on acquiring a couple more. These products would be great to teach any child about their finances. Please visit the company and check out their other products and information they have available, like the Money Savvy U.

Here is a little information from their site:
"I am Susan Beacham and I have a dream. I am the mother of two girls. I was also a private banker, who repeatedly saw in my professional life how painful and difficult it was for my adult clients to deal with even the most basic concepts of personal finance. In 1999 I decided to do something about this and co-founded Money Savvy Generation with my husband, Michael.
My dream is to teach money management basics to elementary school aged children, a segment of our educational system virtually untouched because of the perceived complexity of the subject matter. Stated differently, I wanted to get "out in front" of money management behavior before bad habits set in. To start to make my dream come true I went into my local schools on a volunteer basis to teach my "Mrs. Money Talks Money" eight week curriculum. Armed with my Money Savvy Pig and motivating experiences with these school children, along with the responsibility I felt toward my own children, the Money Savvy Kids Basic Personal Finance Curriculum came into existence.
We have taken the time and made the effort in the development phase of our products to optimize them. Optimization is not just about making sure something "works" right, but also making sure our products touch kids emotionally and change their behavior. We started as, we remain, and we will always be a mission driven company.
In the years since I first taught this on a volunteer basis we have grown as a company. We're still family owned, but our reach has increased significantly. The Money Savvy Pig has been distributed around the globe and the Money Savvy Kids Basic Personal Finance Curriculum is now taught in one or more districts in 26 states. The Money Savvy Pig is sold to parents and other adults with a special child in their lives in all 50 states and Canada. My dream is becoming reality, but Money Savvy Generation has only scratched the surface. If you share my dream, we would welcome the opportunity to partner with you in helping kids get smart about money."

I enjoyed sharing the Money Savvy Pig At the Fence.

The best news is yet to come though. One neighbor will win their own Money Savvy Pig. Just follow the directions.

MANDATORY ENTRY: Visit the Money Savvy Generation site, come back and tell me something you learned. This must be done before you may complete any other entries. You do not have to have a blog to enter, but you must leave a valid email so I can contact you if you win. This Giveaway will end 2/10 at 11:59 pm CST. I will use Random.org to choose the winner. The winner will have 48 hrs. to respond to the email, or another winner will be chosen.

REMEMBER TO COMPLETE THE MANDATORY ENTRY FIRST!

Other ways to enter:

KINDERGLO REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY

Hey Neighbors,

Kinderglo sent me some of their nightlights to do a review and giveaway with. My younger daughters were so excited. Both of them prefer a small light on at night, so this sounded great. Guess what: it is! These nightlights are so unique. Presently they have three characters, an Owl, a Tyrannosaurus, and a Brontosaurus. These nightlights each come with a charging base and an ac cord. So easy to use. You charge them during the day and use them at night, or nap-time. They are cool to the touch, so your child can carry them around and play with them. Not only do they light up, but they also change colors. You may choose the setting you prefer to continually change colors or to choose one color for the whole night. The discussions before bed as to which color to choose became quite amusing. You can also set the nightlight to turn off after 30 minutes. So many choices! We had a guest visiting and she kept trying to get me to let her take one home!

And you will also get a choice if you win this giveaway! I have 3 Kinder Glo to giveaway. I will draw 3 winners. 1st drawn gets choice of the 3, either Owl, Tyrannosaurus, or Brontosaurus. 2nd person drawn gets to choose between the 2 left over and the 3rd name drawn gets the one left. Honestly these nightlights are something I enjoy sharing at the fence.

"Never hot to touch, KinderGlo LED night lights bathe a room in soft light, easing even the most fretful kids into a good night’s sleep and guarding them through the dark.
Our small soothing pals are perfect to be built into the daily bedtime routine and provide extra comfort for your children, who can safely keep their little friends in their bed all night.
  • Fun characters made of soft and durable, non toxic, safety approved material.
  • Decorative charger will power your nightlight for another 8-10 hrs of fun.
  • Change color settings and choose between fade off in 30 minutes and stay on all night with easy clicks on a single button.
  • Our comforting fun characters are

  • Rechargeable
  • BPA and lead free
  • Packaged hassle free and with 100% recyclable materials.
I am having a small problem with people doing the Mandatory Entry and other 1 time entries more than once. I will remove ALL entries of anyone who can not follow the entry rules. If stated I do allow daily Tweets, or other specified entries, but you can not keep coming back and doing all the entries over and over.

MANDATORY ENTRY: Visit BLUE MOON LITES (Kinder-Glo) and then come here and leave me a comment regarding which nightlight you would choose if you win. (This may only be done once) This must be done if you wish to enter this giveaway. After completing this you may enter through the other available options. This giveaway will end 2/5 at 11:59 pm CST. I will use Random.org to choose the winners, who will be notified by email. You will have 48 hours to respond with your shipping information or another winner will be chosen.

Jim Elliot DVD Giveaway Torchlighters

CLOSED

Hey Neighbors,

I have a new giveaway. Vision Video graciously supplied me with 3 Torchlighter DVD's to review and host a giveaway with. My family already has enjoyed several of the Torchlighters Heroes of the Faith Series. They are produced with the Christian History Institute, International Films and Voice of the Martyrs. My nine year old daughter loves to read about Gladys Aylward, a missionary to China, so that was one of the videos we chose to review. Torchlighters is an animated series for youth (8-12) that covers real life heroes of the faith.

We have also seen the William Tyndale, Eric Liddell, Richard Wurmbrand, and John Bunyan. Now, I personally am not for animated little cartoon characters that depict Bible stories. That only takes away from the reality and truth of the Bible to our children, but I have to tell you this series is great. My children have truly enjoyed learning with the Torchlighter DVDs. They stick with factual accounts, they do not add some child who traveled back in time, or add a lot of made up information in with the story.

Here is some information from their website:
"Torchlighters are action-packed, award-winning animated videos, featuring real-life faith heroes that kids can depend on. Each DVD features a full-length documentary; complete, reproducible study materials; English and Spanish tracks; subtitles and more.
What age group are Torchlighters geared toward?
Torchlighters are targeted to 8—12 year olds, but are often enjoyed by younger and older children. Many parents express their enjoyment for these programs as well, particularly the accompanying documentaries.
How can you provide so much material at such a low price?
We often hear that our pricing is very reasonable. Many customers can not believe all that they get on a Torchlighter DVD! First, it is important to understand that we view this as a ministry! We want children to know these heroes. Keeping our prices affordable allows many more families to own a set of Torchlighters. Also, we’ve assembled a cost-effective production team that is fully committed to bringing these great stories to life at a cost that allows us to continue the project. Finally, we don’t do aggressive or expensive marketing. Instead, we rely on the many customers who go out of their way to recommend Torchlighters to their friends! Those enthusiastic recommendations are worth more than fancy advertisements."

Now one neighbor will get to win The Jim Elliot Story. Here is their description:
"Geared for children ages 8-12, this stunning, half-hour, action-packed program uses top quality animation to bring to life the story of missionary martyr Jim Elliot.

The year was 1956. From the steamy jungles of Ecuador, news spread around the world that five young American men were mercilessly killed by members of the Auca tribe (now known as the Waodani)--a people those young men had gone to serve and befriend. That seemingly senseless tragedy a half century ago has become an inspirational marvel as that same tribe is now friends with the families of those they killed! This is the story of one of those brave torchlighters--Jim Elliot.

Jim Elliot spent his youth preparing to share the Gospel with those who'd never heard it. But nothing could have prepared him for the dangers and challenges he'd face in the jungles of Ecuador. The remote Auca tribe was suspicious and antagonistic toward even the most friendly of gestures from outsiders. Would Jim and his fellow missionaries ever be able to break down the hostile barriers and carry a torch of faith to this savage people determined to
attack all outsiders?

In this inaugural Torchlighters episode we follow Jim's adventures from his college years to his
work in the jungles, showing young people his faith in action as he answers God's call to do the seemingly impossible."

This series is great for your home, home-school, church library, or a gift. I want to share these At the Fence!

JESS' BEE NATURAL

CLOSED

Hi Neighbors,

This is one for you ladies. Jess' Bee Natural produces all-natural skin care. I was sent two lip balms, one Peppermint and the other Tangerine, along with their Lavender Shea Butter Lotion. Now, as we are staying up north much longer than normal, my whole family is experiencing chapped lips and skin. Not that we don't have to deal with it some when we are in Florida, but it is much worse up here. The Jess' Bee Natural Lip Balms are really helping with the chapped lips. I can't decide which flavor I like better. Normally I think I would choose peppermint, but I do like the smell of the tangerine. The Lavender Shea Butter Lotion smells wonderful. I love to spray my sheets and pillowcases with Lavender and this Lotion really smells good, and actually lasts. It is not overpowering, and yet you can still smell the fragrance. I really dislike when I use a product and the scent disappears immediately.

Jess also carries items for men and babies, along with gift sets. And she also offers her product with your own label. Check under Private Label for more information.

Here is some information from their website regarding their products:

"I stumbled into this business by accident. When I was 20 I had found a basic lip balm recipe and started mixing various batches. My friends started asking for more. It was a hit! I soon realized this could be a great business opportunity. With a small loan from my family, I was in business. I designed my label and display and found wholesalers for the raw materials. Before long my product was in local stores.

Over the past ten years we have worked hard to spread the word of our products. You can find us at local natural food stores and gift shops around the country. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments - we love feedback!

You will love our all natural, chemical free lip balm. Made with raw shea butter, it goes on smooth and is long lasting. Peppermint, cinnamon, tangerine, grapefruit, lime and unscented.

Lip Balm Ingredients:

Sweet Almond Oil: This is a great nutrient for softening and conditioning the skin. It contains vitamins and minerals. This scent free oil is obtained from the nut of the almond tree.

Beeswax: Beeswax solidifies oils and seals healing properties from ingredients to your lips.

Soybean Oil: This oil bonds with other ingredients and adds body.

Shea Butter: Shea butter is similar to cocoa butter and is derived from the nut of the fruit of the Shea tree. It looks and feels like butter. People who have nut allergies and latex allergies may be sensitive to shea butter and sweet almond oil.

Vitamin E: Vitamin E is a healing oil that helps repair damaged skin.

Peppermint, Cinnamon, Tangerine, Grapefruit, Lime, Essential Oils: We use pure essential oils to flavor our balms.

Not for people with nut and latex allergies."

And not only was she nice enough to let me review her product, Jess is allowing me to do a great giveaway. All six flavors of Lip Balm. Natural, Grapefruit, Tangerine, Lime Cinnamon, and Peppermint. She is adding the Happy Skin Solid Lotion Bar (with the happy face), and a Tangerine Shea Butter Lotion. Isn't that a great giveaway! Jess' Bee Natural is for ladies to share At the Fence.

This giveaway will end 1/26 at 11:59 pm. Anyone may enter but you must leave a valid email to contact you should you win. Please complete the mandatory entry first or your other entries will not count. You must leave a separate comment for each entry. I will choose a winner using Random.org on 1/27 and will email the winner, who will have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen. Open to USA only.
CLOSED
MANDATORY ENTRY-Visit Jess' Bee Natural

General Mills Cereal Review

Hi Neighbors,

I was recently given a chance through MyBlogSpark and General Mills to do a review of General Mills Cereal. I was given four coupons, each for one box of General Mills Cereal. Now with a family the size of mine, 6 children, 2 of which are teenage boys, I am sure you know how long those lasted. Especially since my children tend to want a bowl of cereal in the evening. We used 2 coupons a week ago, and just recently used the other 2. My husband loves the Reeses Puffs, I don't think the younger children managed to get any of those. I will make sure they do this time. They also like the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. We also tried the Raisin Nut Bran for my health conscious older daughters.

Recently:
"General Mills announced a commitment to further reduce sugar in cereals advertised to kids under 12 to single digit grams of sugar per serving. The company has already been reducing sugar in cereals while increasing key nutrients, such as calcium and vitamin D, and providing whole grain."
"Did you know that ready-to-eat cereal eaters consume less fat, less cholesterol and more fiber than non-cereal eaters? Cereals also deliver important vitamins, minerals and other essential nutrients, making cereal a top source of key nutrients in children´s diets.

Other cereal benefits:

  • Ready-to-eat cereals, including presweetened cereals, account for only 5% of sugar in children´s diets.

  • Ready-to-eat cereal is the No. 1 source of whole grains in a child´s diet today.

  • More frequent cereal eaters tend to have healthier body weights and lower Body Mass Index measures.
Studies also demonstrate the benefits of eating breakfast. A 1998 study showed that children who eat breakfast tend to perform better at school. Compared to children who skip breakfast, children who eat breakfast score higher on tests, are less likely to miss class or be tardy, have fewer reported discipline problems, and make fewer trips to the office.

For more information about kids and cereals, please visit Cereal Health and Wellness."

I really appreciate General Mills reducing the sugar content, and thought that this would be something to share AT the Fence.

Disclosure:I did not receive any monetary compensation for this review. I did receive coupons for free cereal from General Mills through MyBlogSpark. All quotes are from information given to MyBlogSpark from General Mills. All thoughts and opinions are mine.

Wow! Your item has arrived - and it's exactly what you created! It looks fantastic and everyone loves the quality. Wear it proudly. You're not only a model - you're the designer!

As a Fashion Playtes Designer, you can design your own personal brand and fashion collection. Design your own clothes and accessories that you can acually wear and we send your creation to you! We give you the tools to become the ultimate designer... it's SEW cool™! "

Another nice feature is your daughters can design as many items as they like and save them in an account to come back to later. So she can design as much as she likes. Then when you decide on a design you can order it!! Fashion Playtes is recommended for ages 6-12.

As far as safety is concerned Fashion Playtes has this to say:

"Is your website safe?

Fashion Playtes is dedicated to providing a safe, fun and creative online experience for our young designers. We do not permit any communication at this time between Designers on our site except when an email is sent from one Designer to a friend or family member to share their designs. The Designers identities are always protected by their unique user names. We are a tween and parent friendly company working to ensure privacy and security issues are managed correctly. If you have more questions, please review our privacy policy.
Fashion Playtes is a free site. You can design as many outfits as you like, and you also have the option to purchase anything you create."

When our capes arrived of course, both of my daughters just had to try them on. And, even better, my husband was impressed by the quality of the product. The girls wanted to wear them outside, but since we are presently having temperature in the single digits until well in the afternoon, they were only allowed to wear them inside. Both of my daughters say that Fashion Playtes is worth sharing At the Fence! This company is well worth allowing your young lady to try out.

Now the really good part. Fashion Playtes has offered a $50 Gift Certificate to one of my Neighbors.

Cover Your Hair Giveaway

CLOSED

Hi Neighbors,
Cover Your Hair was kind enough to send me two items from their website. One is a Black Beret, and the other a white and gold wide headband. My daughters agreed to model them for me. My youngest has very thin flyaway hair, so she has used the headband several times this past week. She also loves the beret and wore it while we went to visit friends for two days. The headband is really nice in that my daughter has the ability to wear it 2 ways. She wears it as a thin headband, or she spreads it out and it covers almost the whole top of her head. Very nice when it was windy out.

You can visit them to see the different kinds of head coverings they have available. I am impressed with the variety they have. They also carry some very pretty shawls. See Here.

Cover Your hair has offered to send the winner of this giveaway a $25 Surprise Gift Box. You never know what you might win.
