So glad we have a nice evening to meet out here At the Fence. I wanted to tell you about another product. Skin Free sent me their After Shower Moisture Spritz, Sweet and Smooth Sugar Scrub and Niaouli Butter Stick. I have dry skin, and sometimes it is sensitive, so I thought it was great that the products are No Fragrance, No Colorants, No Petroleum Products, and No Harmful Chemicals. The three items are for delicate, sensitive or very dry skin.
First the Sweet and Smooth Sugar Scrub, this product is amazing. Your skin feels so soft after using it, that you really don't feel the need for a lotion to moisturize after you use it. You may use it sparingly on your face, but you can also use it on your hands and feet for a pedicure or manicure.
The After Shower Spritz is also a wonderful product. It was originally a bath oil and is now in a spray bottle. After your shower just spray it on your damp skin and towel dry. Your skin comes out feeling so soft and smooth, not oily.
The Niaouli Butter Stick is probably my favorite, because you can apply it to trouble spots throughout the day. Apply to rough areas of skin such as elbows and heels. It can also be applied to chapped lips.
About Skin Free:
"All products distributed by Blue Ridge Gypsy Studio™ are designed and formulated by owner and practicing pharmacist, Julie Hilton, who has over 30 years experience in compounding and natural skin care. “I started the Studio in 2000 when my husband and I moved to the Blue Ridge of Virginia. Our friends were calling us “gypsies”, so the name evolved naturally.”
“Working in a typical retail pharmacy setting, I was constantly frustrated when asked to recommend products for patients with difficult skin problems, especially those with fragrance allergies. I recognized a void in the market and knew that I could offer effective and affordable products to fill it. Atopic dermatitis, eczema, and psoriasis are life-long conditions and need to be addressed for the long term. Patients with diabetes or renal disease, pregnant women, babies, the elderly, and patients treated with radiation therapy can all benefit from quality natural products. Even people who just have dry, sensitive skin can appreciate wholesome natural skincare products.”
“Since I personally suffer from chronic allergies and eczema, I understand that it is very important for people with these conditions to maintain the integrity of their skin and reduce their exposure to antigens to help prevent acute outbreaks. These diseases can be quite debilitating and cause increase depression, work loss, and pain."
Naturally occurring vegetable oils and butters contain indigenous nutrients, antioxidants, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), and antibacterial agents that petroleum-based oils just don’t have. Natural oils absorb into the skin and do not feel greasy. They also come from replenishable sources, which is a great environmental concern.
"I hope that SkinFree™ products will become widely used and be truly helpful to the ever increasing patient population who need products such as these."
I really like the way these products work. I will be carrying the Niaouli Butter Stick in my purse for use throughout the day. The other items I will save for shower time, or when my nine year old feels like giving me a foot massage and treatment. She really loves doing it, although sometimes she over does the lotion and I have to wash up afterwards.
